This project, in Derry’s Waterside, saw the provision of a fantastic new youth centre and youth offices for the Education Authority. The two storey building sports an aesthetically excellent finish with external brick work, coloured render, cladding and curtain walling to create a light and fluid space. Internally there is a reception area, kitchen facilities, sports hall, climbing wall, cinema room, multi-use space, offices and conferencing facilities, wc’s & storage space.
The existing youth centre has been demolished and onsite parking, pavements, bicycle docs and planting installed. This scheme was a finalist in the UK GO Awards for Social Value.
