This Contract comprised the refurbishment and extension of the existing Coleraine Grammar School (Castlerock Road Campus), to facilitate amalgamation of the campuses onto a single site (decanting from the Lodge Road site).
Delivered into a live site, works included:
- Demolition and making good of former headmaster’s house and dormitories,
- New build home economics, learning support, sixth form and music accommodation
- Refurbishment and extension of the existing technology block to include additional classroom and associated accommodation
- Refurbishment of the existing music department to provide ensemble room
- Refurbishment of the existing art classroom
- Refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing home economics mobile into a media studies suite,
- Refurbishment of the basement of the existing listed building to provide a new fitness suite including changing and toilet provision.
- Together with new bus set down, turning, road, parking and pedestrian layout, new drainage network including storm, foul, attenuation and cess pool works. Other ancillary works included, hardstanding, retaining wall, landscaping, and planting works.
The success of this project was testament to the teamworking approach adopted, skill set of our trades and stakeholder engagement.
