Traditional Build

This project comprised the construction of a new, sustainable state-of-the-art primary care centre in Clones town centre. The development is part of the HSE Enhanced Community Care programme which aims to divert patient traffic away from hospital departments by offering services within the community.

The new 2-storey building houses Health professional services, GP Practice and a community pharmacy. It sports a Kingspan Topdeck Roof with standing seam, curtain walling, contemporary aluminium cladding & coloured render. The interior has a modern, fresh aesthetic – with multi-lingual signage, acoustic walling for confidentiality, bespoke privacy blinds to treatment rooms, fully fitted Nursing, OT, Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Podiatry, Psychology and Dietetics clinics.

Associated infrastructure includes storm water attenuation, patient and emergency services parking, bike docks, soft landscaping and street lighting. Sustainable technologies include e-charging points, air source heat pump, combined mechanical and natural ventilation, airtightness membrane to all building joints and high-level windows for natural lighting.

Dermot Monaghan, Chief Officer, Community Healthcare said,

“These…centres are wonderful additions to their communities…They offer people the best of care on their doorsteps. I would like to congratulate the…teams who put trojan work into making each of these centres a reality.”
