Curran Road, Larne comprised construction of 16 state of the art apartments on the site of the former Curran Court Hotel for Connswater Homes. The development included 14 Nr. 3P2B CAT1 (Over 55s) Apartments and 2 Nr CAT1 3P2B (Over 55s) Wheelchair Accessible Apartments, together with underpass and in curtilage parking, communal green areas and services installations.
The units were secure by design and the buildings sported multiple sustainable technologies, including thermal glazing, curtain walling for optimal sunlight, acoustic ceilings and blockwork to communal areas. The site was a restricted corner site, in proximity to occupied homes and businesses, as well as a main arterial route through the town – despite the challenges presented by this Connolly & Fee delivered an exemplary project on time & budget.
