New Build Sixth Form Centre, Music and Creative Arts Space, delivered via two new buildings, located within the existing, live school campus.
The project also comprised demolitions, upgrade to existing buildings and significant civil engineering works – with new roads infrastructure, soft landscaping outdoor recreation/games area and a 200-space carpark.
The 3-storey state of the art sixth form centre and creative arts space incorporated advanced technologies, a glazed link corridor to the existing building, an accessible visitor’s space on the ground floor and a vehicular access with drop off zones under the block. The new music department was delivered as a standalone building with vibrant modern finishes, extensive curtain walling and acoustically focused interior finishes to optimise this aspect of learning.
The School Principal, commented: ‘This…marks another significant and exciting stage in the development and growth of St Mary’s. Our pupils will benefit hugely from the enhanced facilities and resources provided by the programme.’
